Hospice needs new chairman
A hospice which has been helping families through difficult times for 25 years is looking for a new chairman.
Heart of Kent Hospice is on the hunt for an inspiring and confident leader to chair its board of trustees from December.
In addition to managing the 12-person board, whoever is chosen to take on the volunteer role will work in partnership with Sarah Pugh, the Aylesford charity’s chief executive, on the overall governance and direction of the facility.
Mrs Pugh said: “This is an incredibly important role for someone with relevant experience, strong leadership, and strategic planning skills.
“We’re looking for an excellent communicator who will act as our ambassador and help us build on our outstanding reputation within the local community, while also steering the hospice through the challenge of tighter budgets and growing numbers of patients who need our help.”
Applications are open until Friday, July 7.
