Awards a tribute to long service
Ninety-six long-serving staff and volunteers were honoured in an awards ceremony.
The Lady Monckton Awards pay tribute to the outstanding service and commitment of staff and volunteers at Heart of Kent Hospice. Roles include nursing, counselling, and operational staff, as well as volunteers fundraisers, retail assistants, and even choristers. Collectively, those honoured had given 785 years of service.
Department heads introduced employees or volunteers, praising their work and dedication before awards were presented by Marianna, Viscountess Monckton of Brenchley, patron of the Aylesford hospice.
Guests were also treated to an afternoon tea in the surroundings of Maidstone’s Gallagher Stadium, which had been donated for the event.
