Remain vigilant to anything out of place
The hideous discovery of a pervert’s spying device in Broadway’s toilets is an unbelievable invasion of privacy. It takes a very twisted individual to take gratification from watching somebody using the toilets.
Nobody knows how long the spying machine was stuck to a tiled wall meaning it is a mystery as to how many unsuspecting users were caught short on camera.
Anybody looking to use a public toilet would rarely have any concerns over the possibility of being filmed, but a sick individual may well spark a period of bathroom paranoia.
It’s yet another reminder that we must all be vigilant and report anything out of place.
Only recently a Pembury chiropractor was convicted of filming his semi-naked clients while a BP worker on the Isle of Grain was handed a prison sentence when he preyed on women at his workplace with hidden cameras in 2014.
There has been no real effort to conceal the camera in the unisex loo at what is a busy shopping centre, probably meaning it was just a matter of time before it was found.
Perhaps the pervert also took pleasure knowing the elevated risk of being caught.
No one should fear ending up on a fetish site the next time they spend a penny but, thanks to the freak behind the sick violation of privacy, it may well have already happened.
Shops should now be making routine checks to ensure there are no unfamiliar accessories in their WCs and hopefully police can come down hard on the weirdo responsible.
