Bracken beaten
Weald TT youngster Arthur Bracken played in the under13 National Championships at Kettering last weekend. He won two singles games to qualify for the knockout rounds where he lost 3-1 to Mikaeel Toosy of Surrey. Bracken and Weald teammate Shem Lejarde knocked out seeded pair Niket Sajiv (Warks) and Felix Thomis (Berks) in the first round of the doubles, bowing out to Naphong Boonyaprapa (Notts) and Rhys Davies (Lancs) in the quarterfinals. Josh Bennett and George Hazel, members of the South East Performance Centre at Cranbrook, won the Carter Cup under-18 team knockout representing Crawley.
