Girls making the most of centre
The Kent Reliance Girls Player Development Centre has been a big success. Fifty-two youngsters, aged eight to 13, have attended this season, with the PDC offering opportunities to progress up the football pyramid and sign for professional clubs. Natalie Curtis, the Kent FA’s football development officer, said: “Without the funding and support from Kent Reliance we could not provide such a fantastic opportunity to our young female players across Kent. “With the quality coaching and facility on offer, our players are making great progress and it has been rewarding to see some of our older players coming back and begin coaching the next generation of players.” Rob Gurr, PR and marketing manager at Kent Reliance, said: “I am pleased to hear how successful the Kent Reliance Girls Player Development Centre has been this season. “It is clear the girls who attend have a great opportunity to develop and advance their skills in the game and enjoy themselves at the same time.”
