Helen Grant, a local MP was commission­ed to produce a report for the next meeting of Kent MPs in October. Cllr FitzGerald spoke of the overgrown weeds in the roads of the village and Cllr Waring advised that they should be sprayed twice a year, however this had been reduced to once so the clerk was asked to obtain prices from Highways for an extra spraying. It was agreed that Cllr Waring should continue to carry out the initial grass cutting and maintenanc­e in the churchyard, at a cost of £350 plus Vat.
