Loss ends Mote hopes

The Mote’s promotion chances are effectively over after defeat by Division 1 leaders Bickley Park on Saturday.
Missing skipper Alex Fordham, they were bowled out for 118 by a Park side who won by five wickets.
The Maidstone team are seventh with four games left, 44 points off the top two.
Stand-in skipper Matt White dug in with 53 off 105 balls but he was one of only two players in double figures as wickets tumbled around him.
It was always asking a lot to defend 118 and while wickets for Glen Aukett (2-30) and Tom Harvey (2-36) reduced Bickley to 51- 4, a half-century stand for the fifth wicket ended Mote’s hopes.
Leeds & Broomfield moved above opponents Bexleyheath into seventh place in Division 3 after a fine run chase.
George Davis took 3- 41 before the hosts declared on 212- 8, a decision that would come back to haunt them.
That’s because Martin McCague (83) and Justin Hubbard (60) shared a big opening partnership before Davis (27 not out) and Dan Creasey (21 not out) completed a seven-wicket victory.
In Division 4, Offham’s game against Cowdrey and Addington’s clash with Old Williamsonians were abandoned due to rain.
In 2nd XI Division 1, The Mote beat Orpington by 59 runs.
Skipper Laurence Waters made 61 from 68 balls as The Mote closed on 206-7.
Robert Adams (3-31) was the key bowler as Orpington were held to 147- 6.
In Division 4, Addington slipped to 59 all out in an eight-wicket defeat by Bexley.
Offham also struggled with the bat in Division 5, dismissed for 76 as Bromley Town won by three wickets.
Simon Hallbrook (4-36) kept Offham in the game but Town edged it.
