Lewis Bedwell made an unbeaten double century for Hollingbourne. He finished on 207 not out as the Division 7 leaders closed on 312-3 against Eynsford. Jason Ovenden (3-7) and Dave Charlton (3-32) were the main wickettakers, with Eynsford 124 all out and beaten by 188 runs. Craig Sands hit a brilliant century to ease Linton Park’s Division 1 relegation concerns. The opener made 154 from 120 balls, with 19 fours and four sixes, to help his side close on 265- 4 against Plaxtol. Richard Knowler claimed 3-9 as Plaxtol were bowled out for 159, Linton winners by 106 runs. Bottom side Bearsted claimed their second win, beating Sissinghurst by 50 runs. Opener Noel Johnston hit 10 fours in a knock of 89 off 72 balls as Bearsted closed on 170-2. Steven Benjamin (2-18) and Greg Laurenson (2-38) took care of the top four then Andrew Dampier collected 3-26 as Sissinghurst were held to 120-9. Marden moved level on points with Shoreham thanks to a 10-wicket win over their Division 2 drop rivals. Sam Tomkinson and Henry Johnson took three wickets each as Shoreham were bowled out for 88. Alex Newport (53 not out) led Marden home. Linton Park 2nds won at Chevening Amblers in Division 5. Runs for Glen Rawson (84) and Tobey Castle (78) saw Linton to 205- 4.
