07966 361434 Tel: 01622 687053 Ride and Stride: Saturday September 9 is this year’s Ride and Stride which is a sponsored bike ride or walk in which people bike ride or walk between churches from 10am to 6pm. There is a list of approx. 740 churches to choose from in Kent alone, and you can decide how many to visit, and whether to go alone or in a group. The money raised - which last year was £137,000 in Kent alone - is used to help save historic churches, chapels, and meeting houses for future generations by funding urgent repairs and the installation of modern facilities. Half of any money raised by a riderwalker is returned to the locally specified church – i.e. back to St. Nicholas Church, Allington. Last year we had 10 cyclists and 6 walkers take part. PARISH COUNCIL: Planning - hybrid application for detailed planning permission for a residential development of 70 dwellings comprising 2, 3 and 4 bedroom two storey terraced, semi-detached and detached house and 4 one bedroom units, together with outline planning permission for a two storey medical centre with all matters reserved for consideration on land south of Heath Road (known as Clockhouse Farm). The Parish Council had raised no objection to the amended planning application providing notice was taken of issues raised in an e-mail submitted on the original application on 11th October 2016 and that priority was now given to a detailed application for the medical centre.
