Four wins in a row at the end of the campaign saw Alex Fordham’s side climb from seventh place and they ended the season only 19 points behind runners-up Bromley Common.

Tom Harvey (66) and Matt White (54) shared an opening stand of 126 as The Mote closed on 210-9.

Overseas player Gerry Fatouros has been a hit with the bat in recent weeks but his bowling made the difference here, taking 5-18, as HSBC slipped to 139 all out.

In Division 3, Leeds & Broomfield lost to promoted club Orpington by 83 runs on the final day.

Monte McCague removed the top three on his way to 4-37 as Orpington closed on 254- 6.

Dad Martin McCague made 73 from 78 balls, with nine fours and two sixes, at the top of the reply but Leeds were all out for 171 and finish seventh.

Addington Village pinched third place in Division 4 after a strong end to the summer.

Relegation was a possibilit­y for a spell but they came good in the closing weeks and wound up with a six-wicket success against Rainham.
