Staplehurs­t lost on the final day but are promoted to the Kent League as Premier Division champions.

They needed just a point to make sure of the title and picked up eight in their 63-run home defeat by Blackheath.

Mark Jeffrey took 4-55 and Mark Savage 3-18, with Blackheath 195 all out.

Graham Ward made 44 in reply but the champions slipped to 132 all out.

Kings Hill clinched second place and promotion with an eight-wicket success at Mersham Sports.

David Tibbles, Mohammed Cowdhury and Jack Raffles took two wickets each, with Mersham closing on 177-8.

Opener Neil Scott (89 not out) and Alex Richards (55 not out) completed Kings Hill’s victory.

Leybourne’s Jake Bacon made a big century on the final day.

He hit 152 in a total of 259- 6 against Sevenoaks Vine as Bourne secured third place in Division 1A West.

Norman Underdown took 5-17 as Vine were held to 186-7, Leybourne winners by 73 runs.

Peter Westrop’s unbeaten century saw Division 1A Central champions Headcorn to victory against Hunton.

His knock of 107 not out included 14 boundaries and led his side to a total of 191-2.

Hunton were all out for 73, Rob Hills and Barry Curtis with three wickets each as Headcorn won by 118 runs.

Ruchier Bhomia took 5-19 for Holborough Anchorians but finished on the losing side.

Opponents Sherwood were all out for 136 but Anchs could only manage 104 in reply, beaten by 32 runs.

Staplehurs­t 2nds beat Stonehouse but missed out on promotion in Division 1B Central, finishing third.

They won by five wickets after 2-35 from Harry Watts saw their opponents restricted to 110-5. Lenham lost to Extras..................................................7

Peter Humphries made 48 but Lenham closed on 174-9 in reply to 238-5.

Rumwood bowled out bottom side Bapchild for just 51 and won by nine wickets.

Jordan Chambers (3-16) and Stephen Puxty (3-7) were the leading bowlers.

Leeds & Broomfield 2nds celebrated the Division 2A East title after a sixwicket victory against Walmer.

Suarav Parmar claimed 4- 41, with Walmer closing on 172-9.

Aaron Bailey (73 not out) and James Longhurst (40 not out) finished the game.

In Division 2A West, captain Lee Hewitt’s unbeaten 60 gave Snodland Community a five-wicket win after Dartfordia­ns were bowled out for 117.

Holborough Anchorians 2nds beat runners-up Milstead by one wicket in Division 2B Central.

Steve Dawson took 3-25 as Milstead were held to 110-8, then made 25 not out as the last man.

James Waterson took 4-8 in The Mote 4ths’ seven-wicket victory over Minster.

Waterson’s efforts saw the visitors all out for 80, setting up an easy chase.

In Division 2C Central, champions Kings Hill 2nds beat Upchurch by one wicket after being set a target of 180.

Dave Niblett retired on 100 as Hunton Wanderers 2nds saw off Headcorn 2nds by 39 runs.

Wanderers closed on 222-5 before limiting the reply to 183-7.

Yalding completed a four-wicket victory after dismissing Sheppey for 128.

Abdus Salam (3-31) was the leading Yalding bowler, while Gareth Cross (65) impressed with the bat.
