Tricksters film a sneaky dip in their local pool

Two regular pranksters took to Maidstone Leisure Centre’s swimming pool during their latest stunt – an after-hours dip.

Lee Marshall, aka Disco Boy, and Daniel Jarvis hid from staff at Mote Park until the coast was clear before filming their late-night escapade last Sunday.

The pair leapt from diving boards and took advantage of the empty swimming pools until they triggered an alarm and staff brought their evening to an end.

Daniel, 27, is the brains behind YouTube channel Trollstation, which has more than 1,000,000 subscribers.

He said: “Maidstone Leisure Centre has a good swimming pool, so we thought let’s try getting in.

“We hid in a room near the jungle gym. We were in there for at least an hour and a half and had to talk really quietly because three of them were stood outside the door.”

Daniel, from Gravesend, and Lee, from Sturry, were collared by three members of staff who called the police as soon as they became aware of the intruders.

Daniel, who is enrolled in a media studies degree, said: “We set the infrared alarm off. Your adrenaline starts run- ning when you get there, but as soon as you jump in the pool that first time it goes away.

“We saw the staff come in and they said we were trespassing and rang the police.

“We left as soon as the police came and went to Topps Pizza. When we were in there we saw the police and they parked right next to us.”

James Reynolds, manager of Maidstone Leisure Centre, said: “This kind of mindless behaviour is utterly irresponsible and shows disrespect for our staff who wanted to safely close the pool. It will not be tolerated. We have provided details of the incident to the police.”

This is not the first time Disco Boy has been up to no good in the County Town. In July 2016, he was spotted falling over and clambering over a police car during a Pokemon Go stunt. We supply dozens of local traders - Call 01634 843148
