K Sports ladies’ 2nds started their Kent Division 5 campaign with a goalless draw at Blackheath & Old Elthamians. Sports controlled territory and possession in the first half and could have been 3- 0 up but for the post and some careless finishing. The second half was a different game. Kobs had to show heart and fight as the hosts changed their shape and dominated, keeper Dani Nicholls securing a draw. The men’s 1sts lost 7-1 at Herne Bay in their final friendly – and it would have been more but for keeper Ali Burt. Burt made several fine saves

Carmillet completed his hat-trick after the break, with Luke Boniface adding his second. Defender Martin Dadd was man-of-the-match. K Sports fielded a men’s 3rds team for the first time in many years. They had the lion’s share of the friendly game against Herne Bay but lost 3-1.
