We are offering to build relief road

-

Editor News editor Assistant news editor We at ECO Build UK read with interest the articles in last week’s KM and are confused at some of the comments expressed in these pieces.

The confusion arises from the comments regarding the funding and the lack of interest from developers with regard to the Leeds/Langley relief road.

If people are writing in the KM and offering interviews, do they not read what other subscribers have had to say and offer? Clearly not.

ECO Build have on numerous occasions said we are prepared to part-finance the relief road subject to the agreement of the development of our project known as Broomfield Park.

This offer has been on the table for the past 12 years, but it appears that, for whatever reason, those within both local and national government choose to ignore it.

We have stood in front of these people at meetings and openly invited them to speak with us in order to move forward in a positive way. To date we have not been approached by a single government official.

It would appear that the Maidstone Borough Council is happy to see the county town of Kent grind to a halt amid unsustainable urban sprawl.

ECO Build has part of the answer to this. All you have to do is talk to us. Keith Cook, ECO Build UK
