Sutton Valence lost 4-2 at home to Gore Court in Kent/Sussex Regional 1 on Saturday.

The visitors from Sittingbou­rne converted a short corner to take the lead but Valence were soon level when James Stanford crossed for James Padwick to score.

However, a soft goal saw Court go in 2-1 up at half-time.

Valence equalised again through Marcus Bawden, who was teed up by Clayton Pohiho from a short corner.

Two more goals for Gore Court killed them off, however, and Valence host Worthing on Saturday looking for their first points of the season. It was a better day for Sutton Valence 4ths, who came from 2- 0 down to win 3-2 against K Sports in Kent Open Division 4.
