Bearsted’s run of six straight wins ended at Croydon in the Premier Division on Saturday. The home side took the lead on 21 minutes when Marvin Armstrong’s header went in off Cameron Croucher as he tried to clear the ball. Bears failed to clear a corner on the stroke of half-time and were punished when Lauris Chin struck to make it 2- 0. It was closer after half-time and Rob Lyall headed a Reece Collins’ corner just over. Croydon had Armstrong and Andy Somo sent off five minutes before the end but still had time to net a third when Jeff Duah Kessie sealed a deserved win for the hosts.
