Goodbye: Parishione­rs joined together to pay their respects and say farewell to a well-known local character. The funeral of Alan Tong was held at St John the Baptist Church on September 21. Alan was a ‘Man of Kent’ having been born in Harrietsha­m and spending his 84 years living in the village. Alan was often seen walking his beloved dogs and enjoying the countrysid­e Remembranc­e: The annual Remembranc­e Service will be held at St John the Baptist Church, Marley Road on Sunday, November 12 at 10.15am.
