Half marathon spree for teen

-

A teenager plans to raise money for the Heart of Kent Hospice by running five half-marathons in 28 days.

Joshua Llufrio-Elliott, 17, has booked himself in for the Brighton halfmarathon in February, plus Eastbourne, Dartford, Hastings and Liverpool in March.

He said: “I’ve lost two people close to my heart through cancer, a friend of mine when I was 10 – she had a brain tumour, and my grandad when I was seven. So I know how difficult life can be for those with terminal illnesses and their families.”

The Maidstone Girls Grammar School A-level student of Beckett Road, Barming, has set up a JustGiving page – www. justgiving.com/fundraising/ josh-llufrio-elliott1
