Plan for se­cond med­i­cal cen­tre

You wait ages to get to see a doc­tor, then all of a sud­den two new med­i­cal cen­tres come along at once.

The lat­est pro­posal is to site a med­i­cal cen­tre at Hill Farm, off Heath Road.

The site falls within the parish of Lin­ton, but is only a short dis­tance away from Clock­house Farm, also on Heath Road, but in Cox­heath, where de­vel­oper Per­sim­mon al­ready has out­line per­mis­sion to build 70 houses, on the pro­viso that land is set aside for a new med­i­cal cen­tre.

The Hill Farm pro­posal is be­ing de­vel­oped by DHA plan­ning con­sul­tants on be­half of landowner Alan Firmin Ltd. It in­cludes doc­tors’ surg­eries, nurses’ rooms, para­medic rooms, small treat­ment rooms, and a cof­fee shop, with in ex­cess of 50 park­ing spa­ces.

An ex­hi­bi­tion of the plans will be held at Cox­heath Vil­lage Hall in Stock­ett Lane on Novem­ber 24, from 5pm to 7pm.
