Plan for second medical centre

You wait ages to get to see a doctor, then all of a sudden two new medical centres come along at once.

The latest proposal is to site a medical centre at Hill Farm, off Heath Road.

The site falls within the parish of Linton, but is only a short distance away from Clockhouse Farm, also on Heath Road, but in Coxheath, where developer Persimmon already has outline permission to build 70 houses, on the proviso that land is set aside for a new medical centre.

The Hill Farm proposal is being developed by DHA planning consultants on behalf of landowner Alan Firmin Ltd. It includes doctors’ surgeries, nurses’ rooms, paramedic rooms, small treatment rooms, and a coffee shop, with in excess of 50 parking spaces.

An exhibition of the plans will be held at Coxheath Village Hall in Stockett Lane on November 24, from 5pm to 7pm.
