Two men have been banned from getting behind the wheel after admitting drink-driving. Stanislav Karpov, 31, of Haydon Close, Maidstone, gave a reading of 95 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of breath when he was stopped in Waterloo Street, Maidstone. The limit is 35 micrograms. He was banned for 36 months, must carry out 40 hours’ unpaid work and pay £335. Ionut Sava, 43, of Heath Road, gave a breath test of 133 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of breath when he was pulled over. He was sentenced to prison for 84 days, suspended for 12 months. He must also carry out 200 hours’ unpaid work and has been banned for 32 months. He must pay £200.
