Choose the charity that we support

Kent Messenger readers can give a charity the best Christmas ever by helping select the cause this newspaper will give its backing to next year.

An online poll is now live on KentOnline enabling readers to click to vote for their favourite charity or good cause.

A total of 38 causes were nominated to be KM Charity of the Year for Maidstone, Malling and the Weald, and entries have been whittled down to a shortlist of 12 for the public vote.

Editor Denise Eaton said: “The Kent Messenger is passionate about supporting the local community which is why we select a cause to champion each year.

“This year we had such a large number of quality nominations we have decided to let the public make the final choice. With the result being published just before Christmas, this is your chance to give an early present to a deserving Kent cause.”

Readers can click to vote any time up to the close of poll at noon on Wednesday, December 20. The winner will be revealed on KentOnline after noon on Friday, December 22 and in the Christmas edition of this newspaper.
