Make a case for defence
At the Maidstone Business Networking session on Wednesday November 15, Sunil Rupasinha will give a talk with the title ‘Why I Defend the Guilty’. Sunil Rupasinha is a barrister who has practised at the London criminal bar for 25 years. He has prosecuted and defended in the full range of criminal courts, from the humble magistrates’ courts through to the august Court of Criminal Appeal itself, and, in the full range of criminal cases, from shoplifting to murder. He has now set up a niche, road-traffic defence practice, Kent Traffic Law, in which he specialises in saving driving licences. Arrive at The Weald of Kent Golf Club, Headcorn at 5.45pm. Networking starts immediately, presentation at 6pm for around 20 minutes. The rest of the time is all about networking. Musical event: One of the South East’s promising new musicians, Laurence Long, will be giving an organ recital at the church on Saturday, November 18 at 2.30pm.
