stone and measures 18 inches wide and 36 inches high with a slightly rounded top. Details on the stone include (where known) the name, age, date of death, regiment, faith symbol and sometimes a small inscriptio­n offered by the family.

In cases where the body in the grave was not identified, the inscriptio­n simply reads: “A Soldier of the Great War, Known unto God”.

Each plot is impeccably maintained. An individual small garden is located at the base of each headstone and planted with a variety of seasonal flowers. The whole of the cemetery grounds, memorials, and boundaries are likewise immaculate­ly kept with the grass neatly cut and edges tidily trimmed.
