A Performers took to the stage to tell the magical story of Beauty and the Beast. The Harrietsham Amateur Musical Society donned their costumes and entertained 609 people with three dazzling performances over Friday and Saturday, January 19 and 20. The show, held at Lenham Community Centre in Groom Way was the group’s second pantomime, after Cinderella last year. The society was formed in 2016 with the remit of putting on a pantomime “by the village, for the village” and aims to do productions for the community to enjoy. David Penny, society chairman, said: “We want to encourage people and the community to have a go at acting. We don’t take it mega seriously and get really nice support in the group.”
