Camelot panto has Laughalots
Red tape did little to quash the enthusiasm for the Wateringbury Players’ most recent panto, which this year took the audience on an hilarious romp through the age of chivalry.
Tudor Price was in the director’s chair for the production of Camelot, at the village hall in Bow Road. It told the traditional tale of Arthur and Merlin, but with a few extra twists.
The cast of 40 played to packed audiences for all three shows, ably supported by a 20-strong back-stage crew. Becky Fannon played Arthur, Hayleigh Deadman was Guinevere, Ben Bryant Sir Laughalot and Jess Reynolds was Nell. The players expect to have raised around £400 for local charities with the show.
