Helping victiMs
Despite the inevitability of crime in Maidstone and the surrounding areas, DCC Brandon said the focus remains on looking after witnesses and victims throughout the force’s investigations.
He said: “Kent Police is committed to ensuring victims receive support and safeguarding – our focus is and always has been to deliver a first class service to victims and witnesses of all crime, and to ensure we protect the most vulnerable in our society.
“The Police and Crime Commissioner’s funding proposals would enable the recruitment of up to 200 more police officers this year. This would strengthen and add to the force’s capability to tackle crime wherever it occurs across the county.”
