Broken Tree, Forstal Lane. It was understood that a recommenda­tion for approval would be given for the erection of 10 dwellings on land adjacent to Aspian Drive and behind 161 Heath Road, but subject to conditions. Following the exhibition held at the village hall about the possible new medical centre, it was felt that it was not clear how this proposal would dovetail with the proposed medical centre for which permission had already been given at Clockhouse Farm. There were also considerab­le concerns over medical facilities moving outside the village. Quiz: The community associatio­n is holding another quiz night on Saturday February 24 in the community centre from 7.30pm. Teams of eight, must be booked on 01622 862730; £5 per person (includes raffle tickets). Coffee and cakes: Grafty Green Village Hall will be open for free cakes and coffee from 10.30am-noon on Wednesday February 14. It is a good time to relax with friends. Pancakes: The Grafty Green Village Hall Committee invites residents and their friends to call in at the hall between 5pm and 7.30pm on Pancake Day (actually February 13). There will be a modest charge of £2 with tea and coffee available. If you would like to enjoy a favourite filling then take it along to the hall with you. All welcome.
