It was Maxwell Phillips’ turn to win the Maidstone parkrun on Saturday. Phillips led the field home in a personal-best time of 17min22sec. Chris Patey, the winner four weeks ago, was second in 18.21, with Ben Fuller (JM15-17) third in a PB of 19.22. Charlotte Bates won the women’s race for the second week running, her time of 19.51 also enough for fifth place overall. Vera Hunter, third last time out, moved up to second place in 21.08, followed by Gill Holmes in 22.47. Best age-graded performanc­e went to Paul McAuliffe (VM60- 64), who ran 20.52 for 15th overall and a score of 78.19%. There were 368 runners. Malling’s event featured a host of PBs, including the top-three men. First home was Jordan Chambers in 18.47, second went to Lucas Beghein (JM15-17) in 18.51 and third was Lee Cooper in 18.57. Leading lady Hayley Langley ran a PB of 22.12, followed by Emma Longley in 24.08. Carol Emery took third place in 24.28 which gave her the best age-graded score of 76.02%. There were 193 runners.

Pat Burden (VW70-74) of Dragons Running Club ran the London Winter 10K on Sunday in 1hr14min32­sec to finish third in her age category.
