SWIMMING: FOUR YOUNGSTERS HEADING TO BRITISH CHAMPIONSHIPS
Four Maidstone Swimming Club members have qualified for the British Championships. Richard Carr (50m breaststroke), Simon Newton (50m butterfly), Lauren Braddon (200m backstroke) and Callie Ann Warrington (50m freestyle and 50m butterfly) are off to Edinburgh next month. Maidstone swimmers were busy in round three of the Kent Championships at Crystal Palace over the weekend. Highlights included gold for Evie Smith in the 200m breaststroke and third places for Braddon (100m and 200m fly), Richard Carr (100m backstroke) and Luke Reid (200m backstroke).
