Sevenoaks at Honey Lane on Saturday. Bearsted: S Andrews, Valionis, G Andrews, Lyall, C Croucher, R Croucher, Garner, Izokun ( Collins), C Scarlat ( Hart), Williams, L Scarlat. Subs not used: Snazel, Foster, White. Caine Smith scored an injury-time penalty as K Sports drew 2-2 at Division 1 promotion rivals Fisher. Richard Butler gave Kris Browning’s side the lead but Mathieu Ramsamy levelled on half-time and appeared to have given Fisher victory when he made it 2-1 in the 90th minute. But Sports kept going and celebrated a deserved point after Smith’s spot-kick. Dave Sherwood gave Snodland Town a 17th-minute lead against Stansfeld but the visitors won 4-1. K Sports host bottom side Crockenhill on weekend but Snodland don’t play. Kings Hill Colts under-14s lost their unbeaten record on Sunday – but are looking good for a top-two finish.

Goals from Ryan Devlin and Harrison Keeping gave the boys a half-time lead against Borough Green Juniors but the visitors recovered to win 3-2.

The teams swapped places in Division 2 of the Maidstone Primary League, with Borough Green going second but Kings Hill are only a point behind and have three games in hand.

Manager Chris Coombs said: “Borough Green had some fast, strong wingers and we tired, especially as we’ve had a couple of boys not well recently.

“Maybe we relaxed a little bit being 2-0 up at half-time and thought the hard work was done but Borough Green turned it around.

“That’s life. We’re still in a reasonable position, with games in hand. Our aim is to finish in the top two and get promotion but it’s not the be-all and end-all.

“There’s a question mark how we would do in the division above. Would the boys cope? Unless you challenge yourselves, you don’t know.”

The ongoing development of Kings Hill is good news for the parish’s football clubs and their many youth teams.

They’re all based at the £4million Kings Hill Sports Park, which is set for expansion as more houses are built.

Coombs said: “We’re exceptionally lucky to play at the sports park. The pitches are exceptional, even the grass ones and hopefully there will be more pitches on the way.

“As the development is increased – they’re building 600700 homes down the other end – the developers release money for community development.

“Nothing’s confirmed yet but there’s talk of more pitches and increasing the size of the pavilion at the sports park to make more space upstairs, so it can be used for entertaining.”
