Strengthen charity’s youth voice

-

A charity is inviting young people to get involved with its youth action group.

Anyone living in Kent aged between 13 and 24 is welcome to join in with CXK’s group, which participates in the planning and running of the charity.

Successful applicants will be able to provide feedback and insight to influence its activity and development, from providing feedback on the charity’s services to influencing the organisation’s marketing activity.

Being part of the group gives young people a chance to represent the voice of other youngsters in Kent, and to positively influence the way young people are supported by CXK.

Members would be required to attend regular meetings and would be supported to take part in training, surveys, focus group meetings, planning activities and to represent young people on CXK’s board of trustees.

Sarah Mills, assistant director of early help at the charity, said: “Through the work of our youth action group, CXK benefits from the input of a stronger youth voice. By inviting young people to influence the way we offer services means CXK can continue to deliver the best and most relevant services, which help our customers move forward positively in their lives.”

Anyone who is interested in joining the group, or wants more information, should contact Nancy Okai on nancyokai@ cxk.org or call 01233 224244.
