Groups can win a free day out

Community groups across the county have a chance to win a free day out at a theme park thanks to a competition by Arriva Buses and Merlin Entertainments.

Arriva is encouraging all types of groups such as Scouts, Cubs, Guides, choirs, arts or book groups to enter - but they have to be quick.

Nominations are now open and members of the public can visit arrivabus.co.uk/ctbw to tell Arriva why their local community group deserves an amazing summer day out. The prize includes return travel on a bus and attraction entry.

Nominations close tomorrow (Friday) and a shortlist will be drawn up for each Arriva region taking part. Then, from July 23, people will have the chance to vote, via the Arriva website, for who they think deserves the summer day out.

The winning group from the southern counties will be announced on the August 3. The winners will enjoy their day out at Chessington World of Adventures, with transport by bus.
