Kent fans are not shy

-

The county’s fan’s haven’t exactly been shy and retiring.

A video emerged of an England supporter being run over after jumping on a car.

The drama happened in Folkestone’s Harbour Street on Saturday evening.

Shocked onlookers watched as two men swept past on the bonnet in high spirits but the vehicle then narrowly missed people on a pedestrian crossing.

When one of the men fell off the bonnet, the car appeared to go over his leg.

The extent of any injuries is not known but in the clip the man appears unhurt and moves off but police are investigating. Think we’ve just put a picture of Harry Kane here? Wrong.

This is Danny McLaughlin who has found himself at the centre of attention thanks to his amazing resemblance to our star player.

Kane’s red-hot form has made council worker Danny, 26, (above) a celebrity in his own right with fans posing for photos and videos whenever he is out and about.

Danny, from London, has a holiday home in Leysdown which he visits every weekend and said the majority of his friends live in across Kent. Football fanatic Terry Matson (above) who has followed every England game in the 2018 World Cup, was over the moon the squad made it to the tournament’s semi-finals.

“It’s only our third World Cup semi,” said the 57-year-old bricklayer from Sittingbourne. “I was at the last one in Italy in 1990 and that ended in tears.”

Terry who is in Russia with his son Jordan, 28, added: “The Sweden game was so exciting on Saturday – the atmosphere was unbelievable among the England fans.”

The pair flew to Moscow on Tuesday.
