Headcorn claimed a key victory in their Championsh­ip East survival fight.

There were runs for James Barker (65) and Simon Phipps (43) in a total of 168 against Nelson.

Andrew Fisher took 3-37 as Nelson reached 127-8 in reply, Headcorn winners by 41 runs.

Opener Rupert Davenport led Leybourne to victory in Division 1A Central with a century.

He scored 108 while there were half-centuries for Jake Bacon (51) and James Pude (50) in a total of 271-3 against Hartley Country Club.

Alex Rose (4-23) and Bacon (4-27) reduced Hartley to 148 all out, Leybourne winners by 123 runs.

The Mote 3rds made light work of Gore Court.

Jacob Taylor took 5-10 as Court were skittled for 57.

Jonathan Crowhurst hit 31 as The Mote completed a ninewicket win in the eighth over.

Hunton Wanderers lost to Sheppey by 105 runs.

They were up against it after the Islanders posted 246-7, David Brown with three wickets.

Tail-ender Graham Appleby (34 not out) top scored as Hunton were bowled out for 141.

Holborough Anchorians eased to an eight-wicket victory over Southfleet.

Shanie Hussain ( 4- 30) and Sohail Akram (3-12) set up the win as Southfleet were skittled for 53.

Kings Hill completed a ninewicket win against Gravesend in Division 1B West.

Matthew Blewett claimed 5-35, with Gravesend 167 all out.

David Sutton (81 not out) and Ben Fewson (54) led the reply.

Sohail Akhtar impressed with bat and ball as Holborough Anchorians 2nds beat Belvedere.

He top scored with 87 in a total of 183, then claimed 3-14 as the visitors slipped to 94 all out.

With Mousin Raza (4-42) also bowling well, Holborough won by 89 runs.

Lenham just missed out against Minster in Division 1B Central.

Dave Bunch (4-48) was their best bowler as Minster closed on 192-6.

Nicholas Rutledge (56), Alex Gray (43) and David Seales (40) batted well but Lenham fell six runs short on 186-6.

Rumwood lost to Egerton by 62 runs.

Jordan Austin (2-39) was the leading Rumwood bowler as Egerton made 196-8.

Several players made starts in reply but they were all out for 134.

Headcorn 2nds held their nerve to beat Sherwood by two runs in Division 1C Central/East.

Skipper Trevor Scrivens (50) and Paul Millen (47) helped Headcorn to 176-9.

Alastair Lee (3-27) and Chris Fisher (3-38) starred with the ball as Sherwood closed on 174-6 in reply.

Hunton Wanderers 2nds were seven- wicket winners over Sheppey.

Richard Shaw took 3- 14, i n c l u d i n g b o t h o p e n e rs as Sheppey were bowled out for 155. Mike Bassam (41 not out) John Aldous (41) and Ashley Maguire (40) secured the victory for Hunton.

Chris Robinson took 4-26 in Yalding’s win over Upchurch.

James Fenn (2-28) also bowled well as Upchurch were held to 149-9.

Kiran Gregory made 54 not out as Yalding won by four wickets.

In Division 2A Central, Staplehurs­t 2nds posted 118-9 in a seven-wicket defeat by Sherwood.

Steve Wright took the three Sherwood wickets to fall.
