No interest in serving public

I have become extremely bored by the rhetoric being proffered by politicians on Brexit. I believe that their views are largely based upon their self interests.

May I remind them that “government” is basically a collective noun rather than the political interests of an individual or group of individuals component to it.

I apologise to tediously refer again to the undated propaganda brochure delivered to all of us minions prior to the referendum.

That document was predominantly headed, in the largest and boldest font, “Why the Government believes that voting to remain in the European Union is the best decision for the UK”.

Surely should an individual, albeit a member of the Government, act against the result, this may be considered treasonable. In a similar exaggerated font, it was also declared that the referendum was a “once in a generation decision”. A generation is generally accepted to be about 30 years.

When taken in their context as presented, those which wish another referendum, on a similar subject, have a little time to wait.

It further states that “this leaflet sets out the facts”. Probably the only pertinent fact upon which we were all incorrectly reliant, was that the Government’s action, presumably in support of the outcome of the referendum, would be automatic.

The entire population, including politicians, must get used to the fact that those who voted to remain within the EU failed in their endeavour. From its Latin base there is no plural of referendum.

I would encourage the entire populus that, to my naive observation, the majority of politicians appear to have a singular disruptive goal, merely possessing differing showboating agenda.

Unfortunately it may appear that their objectives are not always in consideration of the population’s or country’s best interest, but sadly on how they are able to best serve their own or that of esprit de corps.
