Not consulted over homes
As Chairman of Lenham Parish Council I wish to take issue with the comments made by Cllr Martin Cox on the front page of the Kent Messenger, Thursday September 26, relating to the potential “Garden Village” at Lenham Heath.
As printed, the comment inferred that parishes had been involved in consultation, is misleading as, without the understanding as to how
MBC has got to this place, the implication being drawn in Lenham is that the parish council has been consulted on this contentious development and this is not the case.
Along with the public the parish council has only seen leaked information from MBC and comments in the press, we have had no official communication or discussion and really learned the details along with everyone else through the Kent Messenger.
The comment on the front page of the Kent Messenger and further press comments on page seven have already caused considerable concern in our Parish and this whole proposal threatens to undermine the significant amount of detailed work which has taken place to create our Neighbourhood
Plan which is about to be finally submitted to MBC for Regulation 16 scrutiny.
I hope your readers will understand that we feel this is an entirely inappropriate way for us to learn of a potential development of this size within our parish.
I have written to Cllr Cox concerning the above issue but have not received a reply to date.

Chairman, Lenham Parish Council about low driver standards and intimidation to a learner none of this is new. We in this country have vast amounts of people driving who have never undergone any formal training or test to drive. Many have never read or know of the highway code so cannot know the rules that we all drive by. Vast numbers have no legal licence to drive even up to LGV levels.
In addition lots are without insurance or road tax but are at very little risk of ever getting caught.
This is proven by the increasing number of illegal and or fake
