Stop congesting narrow lanes

-

Again, today I was travelling down Chegworth Road, and this is a frequent occurrence, where there were several cars in front of me who all had to back up, along the very narrow lane in order to allow a very large lorry indeed to come forward.

I had to do an eight point turn to free up some space in order for this vehicle to get through. Everyone in Kingswood has had enough of these large vehicles taking over the use of the narrow roads/lanes in this neighbourhood.

The large vehicles treat it as a through road as not very many use it for access alone.

I know that there is Leeds village, where the access is a proper road and is useable for the approach to and from Leeds is wider than Chegworth Road.

This is a problem throughout the year which is escalating and it needs for there to be some sort of metal height barrier restriction thus preventing the use of Chegworth Road being used as a through road by HGVs.

The ideal model for Europe is a continent of democratic nations, friendly, but not politically fused, yet still we see deranged attempts to force the disparate states into one unit, which would inevitably lead to internal conflict, and eventual disintegration.

This fate is now looming for the EU, as the single currency falls apart, and the interests of the Mediterranean nations prove to be incompatible with those of Germany, the maritime powers bordering the Atlantic
