Leeds & Broomfield are the inaugural Clubbie Cup champions.

Tonbridge bowled Addington Village out for 88 as they successfully defended their total of 187-7, Khurram Shehzad starring with the ball as he took 6-25 from his eight overs.

Roger Vilardell (Petts Wood) recorded a big pb to take second place (33.30), closely followed by Mark Wilkins of Medway & Maidstone AC with his best run at this distance in three years (33.59).

M&M also took two other high places in the race, with Richard Tomlinson in sixth (1st M50 36.26) and Darren Wright 41.20. Unfortunately, because of the restricted presentations there was no team prize, which otherwise would have been claimed by the home club.

Medway & Maidstone AC athletes came away with seven personal bests at the Folkestone Coastal 10k.

The club finished second place overall with a win for the men’s team and four age category wins.

Ben Tyler was second overall, crossing the line in 32.09 for a 29-second PB, followed home by Chris Rampling in fifth, his 33.59 beating his previous best by 54 seconds.
