The alternative route for London Road is via A256 Whitfield Hill, A2 Dover Road, Lydden Hill, Canterbury Road, London Road and vice versa. Traffic wishing to access Alkham Road will need to follow the diversion and then High Street and Lower Road.
CANNON STREET & UNION ROAD, DEAL. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of drainage repair works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Cannon Street & Union Road, Deal. Union Road will
be closed on or after 9th May 2022, for up to 2 days and Cannon Street will be closed on or after 10th May 2022, for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
Union Road will be closed between numbers 61 and 63. Cannon Street will be closed between number 27 and the junction of Outdowns.
The alternative route for Union Road is via St Patricks Road, St Georges Road, West Street, Union Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for Cannon Street is via Golf Road, Ark Lane, College Road, Cannon Street and vice versa.

Because of overhead cabling works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Coldred Road, Eythorne & Shepherdswell, on or after 29th May 2022 for up to 1 day, between 08:00 hours and 16:00 hours or until the works have been completed.

Because of works to replace a stop tap, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Downs Road, East Studdal, on or after 23rd May 2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of East Studdal Nurseries, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Because of works to replace a decayed pole, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through
traffic on part of Gilford Road, Deal, on or after 12th May 2022 for up to 1 day, between 09:30 hours and
15:30 hours or until the works have been completed. The road will be closed between numbers 27 and 31, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for Westbound traffic is via Gilford Road, Park Avenue, A258 London Road/Queen Street/ Broad Street/Beach Street/Prince Of Wales Terrace/Deal Castle Road and Victoria Road.

Because of carriageway resurfacing works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Kedleston Road, Whitfield, on or after 26th May 2022 for up to 2 nights between 19:00 hours and 05:00 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed at the roundabout and
approaches at the southern end of the road.
There will be no alternative route but access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
LIVERPOOL ROAD, WALMER (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of new utility connection works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Liverpool Road, Walmer, on or after 23rd May 2022 for up to 1 day, between 08:00 hours and 19:00 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of The Glen, to the

There will be no alternative route but access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

Because of new service connection works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lodge Lees Road, Denton, on or after 9th May 2022 for up to 5 days, between 09:00 hours and 13:00 hours or until the works have been completed. Because of works to replace a manhole frame and cover in the carriageway, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Strand Street, Sandwich, on or after 24th May 2022 for up to 1 night, between 19:00 hours and 05:00 hours or until the works have been completed. The one-way order will be suspended at Strand Street to allow access.

The effect of the order would be to reduce the national speed limit and to extend the 30MPH speed limit on the following length of road in Woodnesborough, Dover:BEACON LANE – From a point 70 metres west of its junction with Marshborough Road extend the existing limit by 97 metres in a westerly direction.
