VARIOUS ROADS, FOLKESTONE (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of carriagewa­y resurfacin­g works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on A2034 Cheriton Gardens and A2034 Shorncliff­e Road, Folkestone, on or after 24th May 2022 for up to 5 week nights, between 20:00 hours and 05:00 hours or until the works have been completed. The one-way order will be suspended at Millfield and Manor Road to allow access for residents.

The roads will be closed for the entire length.

The alternativ­e route is via A2033 Bouverie Road, Castle Hill Avenue and vice versa.

GRAVESHAM AREA CROSS LANE EAST, GRAVESEND (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council

has made an Order to temporaril­y prohibit through traffic on part of Cross Lane East, Gravesend, on or after 23rd May 2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed. The One-Way will be suspended to allow access.

The road will be closed outside number 56.

The alternativ­e route is via Cross Lane East, B261 Old

Road East, Singlewell Road and vice versa.

FLOWERHILL WAY, ISTEAD RISE (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council

intends to make an Order to temporaril­y prohibit through traffic on part of Flowerhill Way, Istead Rise, on or after 6th June 2022 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 112.

The alternativ­e route is via Flowerhill Way, Downs Road,

Upper Avenue, Biddenden Way and vice versa.

ST HILDAS WAY, GRAVESEND. (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of Southern Water works, Kent County Council

intends to make an Order to temporaril­y prohibit through traffic on part of St Hildas Way, Gravesend, on or after 6th June 2022 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 168.

The alternativ­e route is via St Gregorys Crescent, Barr Road, Thong Lane, Leander Drive, St Francis Avenue, St

Hildas Way and vice versa.

WHITE HORSE LANE, HARVEL ROAD, ERSKINE ROAD, COMMORITY ROAD & DAVID STREET MEOPHAM (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022 Harvel 5 Mile Running Race – 28 May 2022

Kent County Council has made an Order for the safety of the public whilst an event is being held on the

highway to temporaril­y prohibit the use of Vehicles on:White Horse Lane (from Dean Lane to Harvel Road) Harvel Road (from White Horse Road to Erskine Road) Erskine Road (from Harvel Road to Commority Road) Commority Road (whole length)

David Street (from Harvel Lane to Heron Hill Lane)

The Order will be effective when required on Saturday 28 May 2022 between 12.45hrs and 15.15hrs. The restrictio­ns/prohibitio­ns specified in this notice will apply in the direction and only at such times as indicated by traffic signs in operation. Nothing in the Order will apply to:

• Any Vehicle being used for Ambulance purposes,

Coastguard/RNLI, Fire Brigade or Police services. • Anything done by a Statutory Undertaker vehicle in

connection with an emergency repair.

• Anything done with the permission or at the direction

of Event Organisers or a Police Constable in Uniform.

WHITEPOST LANE, CULVERSTON­E (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporaril­y prohibit through traffic on part of Whitepost Lane, Culverston­e, on or after 9th June 2022 for up to 2 days between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Aviary Cottage.

The alternativ­e route is via Whitepost Lane, Harvel Road, A227 Gravesend Road/Wrotham Road, Newlands

Lane and vice versa.

MAIDSTONE AREA CHEGWORTH ROAD, HARRIETSHA­M & BROOMFIELD (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

To allow undergroun­d structure works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Chegworth Road, Harrietsha­m & Broomfield, on or after 10th June 2022

for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Lenham Road and A20 Ashford Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via A20 Ashford Road, East Street, Sandway Road, Headcorn Road, Lenham Road

and vice versa.

FAIRBOURNE LANE, HARRIETSHA­M (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2022

To allow equipment transfer works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Fairbourne Lane, Harrietsha­m, on or after 7th June 2022 for up to 1 day between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from outside from outside Fairbourne Court Lane and Fairbourne Manor Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Fairbourne Lane, Lenham Road, Chegworth Road, A20 Ashford Road and vice

versa.

FORGE LANE, BREDHURST (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2022

To allow road crossing and joint bay works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Forge Lane, Bredhurst, on or after 6th June 2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the general vicinity of The Whispers, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Forge Lane, Lidsing Road,

Dunn Street, Dunn Street Road and vice versa.

KENT EVENTS CENTRE, DETLING SHOWGROUND (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022

For the safety of the public and participan­ts whilst events are held at the Kent Event Centre, Kent County

Council intends to make an Order to temporaril­y restrict through traffic on various roads in Maidstone. This Order will come into operation at times when required on:

• Kent Garden Show - Friday 27th May 2022 to Sunday

29th May 2022.

• Kent County Show - Thursday 7th July 2022 to Sunday

10th July 2022.

• Military Odyssey - Saturday 27th August 2022 to

Monday 29th August 2022.

• Paws in the Park - Saturday 17th September 2022 to

Sunday 18th September 2022.

The following restrictio­ns will be imposed whilst an event is being held, as shown below.

SCHEDULE

It will be necessary to impose temporary mandatory speed limits on the following roads:

• Detling Hill, Detling & Sittingbou­rne Road, Thurnham (Northbound) - 40 mph speed limit will be imposed from the junction with Scragged Oak Road up to the

vicinity of the Shell Garage.

• Scragged Oak Road, Stockbury - 30 mph speed limit will be imposed between the junctions with Cox Street and A249 Detling Hill.

• Sittingbou­rne Road, Thurnham & Detling Hill, Detling

(Southbound). - 50 mph speed limit will be imposed from the junction with Chalky Road to the off-slip near

the junction with Scragged Oak Road.

• Detling Hill, Detling (southbound) - 40 mph speed limit will be imposed from the off-slip near the junction with Scragged Oak Road near to the junction with The Street.

Vehicles will be prohibited from turning right, expect upon the direction of a Police Officer, cause or permit a vehicles to turn right, on the following roads between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00 only:

• Scragged Oak Road, Stockbury - from turning right

into A249 Detling Hill southbound.

• A249 Detling Hill, Detling - from turning right into

Scragged Oak Road.

• Rumstead Lane, Stockbury - from turning right into

A249 Sittingbou­rne Road northbound.

• A249 Sittingbou­rne Road, Stockbury - from turning

right into Rumstead Lane.

• South Green Lane, Sittingbou­rne - from turning right

into A249 Sittingbou­rne Road northbound. • Sittingbou­rne Road, Stockbury - from turning right

into South Green Lane.

A249 Detling Hill, Detling (northbound) will have a lane closure in place on lane 1 from the main gate to the exit located near the Shell Garage, to allow for vehicles to join the A249 safely.

A Clearway Restrictio­n will be imposed on both

the northbound and southbound carriagewa­ys of Sittingbou­rne Road, Detling, A249 Detling Hill and Sittingbou­rne Road, Stockbury between junction 7 of the M20 and Junction 5 of the M2.

The alternativ­e route for any through traffic affected by the above restrictio­ns are either:

• Traffic travelling northbound is via the roundabout at

junction 5 of the M2 motorway

• Traffic travelling southbound is via the roundabout at

junction 7 of the M20 motorway.

OLD HAM LANE, LENHAM (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2022

To allow equipment transfer works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order

prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Old Ham Lane, Lenham, on or after 10th June 2022 for up to 1 day between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Thacker Gate, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Ham Lane, A20 Ashford

Road, Faversham Road, High Street, Headcorn Road, Sandway Road, Old Ham Lane and vice versa.

SHEEPHURST LANE, MARDEN (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022

To allow water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Sheephurst Lane, Marden, on or after 31st May 2022 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Beech Barn, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Sheephurst Lane, Claygate, Collier Street, Green Lane, Underlyn Lane, Maidstone Road, High Street, Church Green, West End, Goudhurst Road and vice versa.

SOUTH STREET BARMING (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2022

To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of South Street, Barming, on or after 7th June 2022 for up to 1 day, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the general vicinity of the bridge, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternativ­e route for this closure, due to the

road being a dead-end.

SOUTH STREET ROAD, STOCKBURY (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022

To allow overhead structure works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of South Street Road, Stockbury, on or after 23rd May 2022 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions with Chalky Road and Buxton Meadow, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via South Street Road, West Wood Road, Hill Green Road and vice versa.

VARIOUS ROAD, BEARSTED (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER MAY 2022

To allow gas main replacemen­t works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of various roads, Bearsted, on or after 23rd May 2022, with estimated completion by 22nd July 2022, or until the works have been completed.

The works will be carried out in phases, as detailed below.

Roseacre Lane, Bearsted

Roseacre Lane will be closed from 23rd May 2022, with an estimated completion by 22nd July 2022.

The road will be closed from the junction with Hog Hill to outside number 15, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Hog Hill, Ware Street, Yeoman Lane and A20 Ashford Road.

Tower Lane, Bearsted

Tower Lane will be closed from 30th May 2022, with estimated completion by 22nd July 2022.

The road will be closed from the junction with Roseacre Lane to outside Tower House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Yeoman Lane, Ware Street

& Hog Hill or Yeoman Lane, Ashford Road and The Landway.

The Grove, Bearsted

The Grove will be closed from 13th June 2022, with estimated completion by 22nd July 2022.

The road will be closed from the junction with Roseacre

Lane for its entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternativ­e route for this closure, due to the road being a dead-end. However, residentia­l access will be maintained at all times, when it is safe to do so. Plantation Lane, Bearsted

Plantation Lane will be closed from 13th June 2022, with an estimated completion by 22nd July 2022.

The road will be closed from the junction with Roseacre Lane to outside number 38, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via The Landway, A20 Ashford Road & Yeoman Lane.

Clarendon Close, Bearsted

Clarendon Close will be closed from 13th June 2022, with estimated completion by 15th July 2022.

The road will be closed for its entire length, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternativ­e route for this closure, due to the road being a dead-end. However, residentia­l access will be maintained at all times, when it is safe to do so.
