Because of arboricult­ural works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Church Lane, Challock, on or after 31st May 2022 for up to 1 day, between 09:30 hours and 16:00 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Coombs and Kiln Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Because of drainage repair works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Coopers Lane, Mersham, on or after 30th May 2022 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Colliers Hill and Bank Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Because of utility repair and maintenanc­e works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on Cot Lane, Biddenden, on or after 13th June 2022 for up to 1 day, between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours or until the works have been completed. The road will be closed for the entire length.

Because of new utility connection works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Olantigh Road, Wye, on or after 30th May 2022 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

THE STREET, MERSHAM (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

To allow ducting works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporaril­y prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Mersham, on or after 30th May 2022 for up to 3 days, between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between number 1 and The

Old Bakery House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via The Street, A20 Hythe Road,

Station Road, Bower Road, and vice versa.

MYSTOLE LANE, CHILHAM. (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of road profile upgrade works, Kent County

Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Mystole Lane, Chilham, on or after 18th June 2022 for up to 2 nights, between 22:00 hours and 06:00 hours or until the works have been completed.

Because of excavation and cabling works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of School Road, Charing, on or after 30th May 2022 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between Monks Walk and the High Street, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Because of pole testing works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Surrenden Road, Pluckley, on or after 13th June 2022 for up to 1 day, between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours or until the works have been completed.

Council has made an Order to temporaril­y prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, Mersham, on or after 30th May 2022 for up to 3 days, between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours, or until the works have been completed.

COCKERING ROAD, THANINGTON WITHOUT (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING, PARKING, & SUSPEND ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2022

To allow utility works to be carried out Kent County

Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Cockering Road, Thanington Without, on or after 13th June 2022 for up to 12 days, between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours, or until the works have been completed. The one-way Order on Cockering

Road will be suspended to allow access. Access will be managed by using temporary multiphase traffic signals. Parking will be prohibited between Manor Close and

Strangers Lane, as indicated by temporary yellow lines. The road will be closed from the junction of Manor

Close, for a distance approximat­ely 60 metres in a north-westerly direction, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Cockering Road, Milton

Manor Road, A28 Ashford Road, Strangers Lane, and vice versa.

To allow cabling works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Roselea Avenue and Eddington Lane, Herne Bay, on or after 15th June 2022 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed. Access on Roselea Avenue will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

Roselea Avenue will be closed between the junction of Eddington Lane and number 1, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Eddington Lane will be closed between number 29 and number 30, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

To allow new service connection works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order

prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Saxon Road, Bridge, on or after 13th June 2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 30 - 32, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Saxon Road, Union Road, Mill Lane, Western Avenue, and vice versa.

WESTBERE LANE & CHURCH LANE, WESTBERE (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2022

To allow gas mains replacemen­t works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order

prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Westbere Lane and Church Lane, Westbere, in 2 phases, as detailed below:

Phase 1 - part of Westbere Lane will be closed from 13th June 2022, with estimated completion by 8th July 2022. Phase 2 - part of Church Lane will be closed from 11th July 2022, with estimated completion by 5th August 2022.

The roads closure lengths and diversion routes for each phase are detailed below:

Phase 1 - Westbere Lane will be closed between the

junction of A28 Staines Hill and number 6, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route for any through traffic is via A28 Staines Hill, A28 Island Road, Bushy Hill Road, Westbere Lane, and vice versa.

WHITSTABLE 10K (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

To allow the Whitstable 10K running event to be held, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g

through traffic on parts of Beach Walk, Tower Hill and Marine Parade, Whitstable from 2nd May 2022 at 08:00, with estimated completion by 2nd May 2022 at 12:30. Beach Walk will be closed for its entire length, between 08:00 hours and approximat­ely 12:30 hours.

Tower Hill will be closed for its entire length, between 09:45 hours and approximat­ely 12:00 hours.

Marine Parade will be closed from its junction with Tower Hill to the junction with Graystone Road, between 09:45 hours and approximat­ely 10:40.

The following roads will be closed at their junctions with Marine Parade, with access to each of them remaining from the Tankerton Road direction:

• Park Avenue

• Cliff Road

• St Annes Road

• Graystone Road

All roads will be re-opened as soon as it is safe to do so.

The alternativ­e route for any through traffic is via Tankerton Road.

QUEENSBRID­GE DRIVE, HERNE BAY (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JUNE 2022

To allow utility works to be carried out Kent County

Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Queensbrid­ge Drive, Herne Bay, on or after 13th June 2022 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the side of number 115 The Broadway, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

DARTFORD AREA

A206 BOB DUNN WAY, MARSH STREET & BINNIE ROAD, DARTFORD (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY

The Bridge Triathlon

Kent County Council intends to make an Order for the safety of the public whilst an event is being held on the highway to temporaril­y prohibit the use of Vehicles on:A206 Bob Dunn Way – prohibitio­n of eastbound traffic between the hours of 04:30hrs to 10:30hrs. The alternativ­e route is via A2026 Burnham Road/Victoria Road/Hythe Street, A226 Home Gardens/East Hill/The Brent/London Road, A206 St Clements Way/Crossways Boulevard.

Marsh Street North – at the entrance to the estate between the hours of 05:00hrs to 10:00hrs. The

alternativ­e route is via Rennie Drive and A206 Bob Dunn Way.

Binnie Road – at the roundabout with Marsh Street North between the hours of 05:00hrs to 10:00hrs.

The alternativ­e route is via Brunel Way. Access will be provided where safe to do so.

The Order will become effective on 19 June 2022. The restrictio­ns/prohibitio­ns specified in this notice will apply only during such times and to such extent as indicated by traffic signs in operation.

Nothing in the Order will apply to:

• Any Vehicle being used for Ambulance purposes,

Coastguard/RNLI, Fire Brigade or Police services. • Anything done by a Statutory Undertaker vehicle in

connection with an emergency repair.

• Anything done with the permission or at the direction

of Event Organisers or a Police Constable in Uniform.
