Sadler delivers six of the best in win

The Mote dismissed Dartford for 62 on their way to a 149-run success in Division 1 of the Kent Cricket League on Saturday.

Matt Sadler (6-20) impressed, backed up by fellow opening bowler Matthew White, who ended with 2-9, as Dartford were all out in the 35th over.

Opener Phillip Apps had topscored with 73 to lead The Mote to 211-6 from their 50 overs.

In a high-scoring Division 2 encounter, Leeds & Broomfield beat New Beckenham.

Batting first, opener Chris Davis was agonisingl­y run out for 99 for Leeds & Broomfield while Monte McCague blasted a 39-ball 80 not out to guide them to 295-6 from 50 overs.

Edward Scrivens (4-37) was best with the ball as New Beckenham were 241 all out in the 48th over.

Kings Hill won by 25 runs against Orpington in Division 3.

Jake Bacon (43) top-scored in Kings Hill’s 177-8, while Richard Nicol (3-22) did the damage with the ball.

In Division 4, Nathan Smith (3-43) and Caleb Futter (3-49) did a lot of the work to restrict Catford and Cyphers to 181-9 but nobody got going for Staplehurs­t, who were 137 all out in the 43rd over.

Offham lost by seven wickets to Walmer in Division 5.

Batting first, Daniel Blakeburn (27) top-scored for Offham who were 114 all out while Walmer got over the line inside 17 overs.

Addington Village were skittled for 94 as they suffered a seven-wicket defeat to Bexley 3rds in the same division.

James Worrall (25) top-scored but was offered little support before Adam Dooley (2-26) took two of the three Bexley wickets to fall.

The Mote 2nds posted 252-4 from their 50 overs on their way to a comfortabl­e win over Sidcup 2nds in Division 2.

Jason White scored 115 not out and supported by Glen Aukett, who scored 94, got them up to their total before Fergie Conway (3-10) and Tobin Thomas (3-20) took over with the ball as Sidcup were 85 all out.

In Division 3, Leeds & Broomfield 2nds claimed a three-wicket success against New Beckenham.

Owen Matthews (3-37) was the pick of the Leeds & Broomfield bowlers to restrict New Beckenham to 161 all out in the 49th over before James Pope (34 not out) got them home after Ben Davis had top-scored with 39.

Kings Hill 2nds went down by six wickets to Tonbridge in Division 4.

Batting first, Neil Taylor (39) top-scored in their 195 all out before Sohail Khan (2-38) took two of the four Tonbridge wickets to fall.

Offham 2nds lost by eight wickets to Bromley 4ths in Division 5.

James Tricker (46 not out) led Offham to 137-9 from 45 overs but Bromley eased home despite the best efforts of Graham Razey, who trapped Shaminda De Alwis leg before and ran out fellow opener Aarin Patel.

Staplehurs­t 2nds skittled Addington Village 2nds for 72 in the same division on their way to a seven-wicket success.

Steven Wright (6-11) and Connor Knapp (4-21) got all the Addington Village wickets between them before they got home, largely thanks to Bill Betts’ 39. Umakanthan Shanmugana­than (2-11) then picked up two of the three Staplehurs­t wickets to fall.
