MUSIC EVENTS, THE SPITFIRE GROUND, CANTERBURY (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING & WAITING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2022

For the safety of the public during the staging of music events at The Spitfire Ground, St Lawrence, Canterbury, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of B2068 St Lawrence Road, B2068 Nackington Road, and Old Dover Road, Canterbury.

The following roads will be closed to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site, from 21:00 hours to approximat­ely 23:30 hours on both nights. B2068 ST LAWRENCE ROAD – closed for its entire length, with personnel on site to allow managed access from the A2050 New Dover Road direction for taxis, buses and vehicles picking up passengers from the concert

B2068 NACKINGTON ROAD, CANTERBURY – fully closed between the junctions of Merton Lane and Old Dover Road

OLD DOVER ROAD, CANTERBURY – Closed in both directions between the junctions of Ethelbert Road

and A2050 New Dover Road, with alternativ­e routes via A2050 New Dover Road, Upper Chantry Lane and Oaten Hill.

Local diversions will be signposted on site.

These road closures do not apply to taxis, buses on stage carriage and park & ride services, and vehicles involved in the organisati­on and running of the event. Operatives will be on site at all times to allow access for residents and their visitors into locations where there are road closures.

Waiting will be prohibited at all times on the following roads, as clearly indicated by No Waiting signs and cones on site.

• B2068 ST LAWRENCE ROAD – from 00:01 hours through to 23:30 hours, on both sides for its entire length

• OLD DOVER ROAD – from 14:00 hours through to 23:30 hours, on both sides, from the junction with Ethelbert Road south-eastwards to the roundabout junction with the A2050New Dover Road

• B2068 NACKINGTON ROAD – from 14:00 hours through to 23:30 hours, on both sides between the

junctions of Old Dover Road and The Foreland

This Order suspends any existing parking entitlemen­ts and restrictio­ns that currently apply to the sections of roads identified above.

NUNNERY FIELDS, CANTERBURY (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022

To allow link box installati­on works to be carried out Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Nunnery Fields, Canterbury, on or after 1st August 2022 for up to 5 days, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Caledon Road and Lansdown Road (Northbound), to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site. Southbound traffic will be unaffected.

The alternativ­e route for any Northbound traffic is via Nunnery Fields, South Canterbury Road, Ethelbert Road

and Old Dover Road.

SNOWDOWN ROAD, WOMENSWOLD (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2022

To allow utility works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Snowdown Road, Womenswold, on or after 20th July 2022 for up to 3 days, between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed approximat­ely 438 metres from the junction of Aylesham Road to approximat­ely 467 metres from the junction of Nethersole Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route for any through traffic under

7.5 Tons is via B2046 Adisham Road, Spinney Lane, Aylesham Road, Sandwich Road, Snowdown Road and vice versa.

THE STREET, PATRIXBOUR­NE (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022

To allow utility works to be carried out Kent County

Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of The Street, Patrixbour­ne, on or after 2nd August 2022 for up to 3 days between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours, or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Elephant Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via The Street, Bifrons Hill, Bekesbourn­e Road, Town Hill, High Street, Patrixbour­ne

Road and vice versa.

WESTERN AVENUE, HERNE BAY (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022

To allow utility works to be carried out Kent County

Council intends to make an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on part of Western Avenue, Herne Bay, on or after 2nd August 2022 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 37, to the

extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route is via Western Avenue, Station Road, B2205 Avenue Road, B2205 Sea Street and vice

versa.

VARIOUS ROADS, BARHAM (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING, SUSPEND WEIGHT LIMIT & SUSPEND ONEWAY) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2022

To allow fibre equipment installati­on works to be carried out Kent County Council has made an Order prohibitin­g through traffic on Brickfield Road and part of Gravel Castle Road, Barham, on or after 19th July

2022 for up to 8 days, between 08:30 hours and 18:00 hours, or until the works have been completed.

The weight restrictio­n on Church Lane and The Street will be suspended.

The one-way traffic Order for Gravel Castle Road will be suspended to allow for access for residents and deliveries.

Road closures and diversions:

Brickfield Road will be closed for the entire length. Gravel Castle Road will be closed between the junctions of Church Lane and Brickfield Road, to the actual extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

For the road closure at Brickfield Road the alternativ­e routes are detailed below:

• Westbound traffic is via Rabbit Hole, Church Lane,

The Street, and Valley Road.

• Eastbound traffic is via Derringsto­ne Hill, Mill Lane

and Rabbit Hole.

For the road closure at Gravel Castle Road the alternativ­e route for any through traffic is via Church

Lane, The Street, Valley Road, Derringsto­ne Hill, and

Mill Lane.

DARTFORD AREA A296 PRINCES ROAD, DARTFORD. (30MPH SPEED LIMIT) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of the widening of the footway, Kent County

Council has made an Order for a temporary mandatory speed limit of 30 miles per hour to be imposed on part of A296 Princes Road, Dartford, between Junction 1B to the access into Ancaster Car Showroom, number 555, on or after 11th July 2022 for up to 6 weeks or until the works have been completed.

A2260 SOUTHFLEET ROAD & A2 NURSERY SLIP WESTBOUND OFF, SWANSCOMBE (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING & 30 MPH SPEED REDUCTION) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

To allow utility works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporaril­y prohibit through traffic part of the A2260 Southfleet Road, Swanscombe, in 3 phases.

In conjunctio­n with these works an Order has been made to temporaril­y impose a mandatory 30 MPH speed limit on part of the A2260 Southfleet Road and the A2 Nursery Slip Westbound Off. The speed reduction is planned from the 21st July 2022, with estimated completion by 29th August 2022.

The speed reduction will be imposed between the junction of the Ebbsfleet Internatio­nal Roundabout to the end point of the A2 Nursery Slip Westbound Off, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The 3 phases of the road closures are detailed below: Phase 1 - A closure is planned from 23rd July 2022, with estimated completion by 24th July 2022.

Phase 2 - A closure is planned from 25th August 2022, with estimated completion by 30th August 2022.

Phase 3 - A closure is planned from 21:00 hours on

30th August 2022, with estimated completion by 05:00 hours on 31st August 2022.

The road closure lengths and diversion routes for each

phase are detailed below:

Phase 1 - The A2260 Southfleet Road will be closed on the northbound and southbound lanes of the dual carriagewa­y between the Ackers Drive Roundabout and the Ebbsfleet Internatio­nal Roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route for any northbound traffic is

via A2 Nursery Slip Eastbound Off, A2 Watling Street, A2 Trunk Road, A2 Wrotham Road, Rathmore Road, Darnley Road (C576), A226 Darnley Road, A226 New Road, A226 Overcliffe, A226 London Road, A226

Thames Way, and A2260 Ebbsfleet Gateway.

The alternativ­e route for any southbound traffic is via A2260 Ebbsfleet Gateway, A226 Thames Way, A226 Stonebridg­e Road, A226 Galley Hill Road, A226 London Road, B255 St Clements Way, B255 Bean Road, A296 Watling Street, A2 Merry Chest Slip, A2 Watling Street, and A2 Nursery Slip Eastbound Off.

Phase 2 - The A2260 Southfleet Road will be closed on the Ebbsfleet Internatio­nal Roundabout between the entrance of the northbound and southbound dual carriagewa­y, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternativ­e route for any southbound and northbound traffic is via the A2260 Southfleet

Road Southbound carriagewa­y towards the Ackers Drive Roundabout, onto the A2260 Southfleet

Road northbound carriagewa­y up to the Ebbsfleet Internatio­nal Roundabout.

Phase 3 - The A2260 Southfleet Road will be closed on the northbound and southbound lanes of the dual carriagewa­y between the Ackers Drive Roundabout and the Ebbsfleet Internatio­nal Roundabout, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

Because of Thames Water works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporaril­y prohibit through traffic on part of Coombfield Drive, Darenth, on or after 3rd August 2022 for up to 5 working days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside number 17.

The alternativ­e route is via Coombfield Drive and vice versa.

HILLHOUSE ROAD, DARTFORD (PROHIBITIO­N OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

To allow pole replacemen­t works to be carried out,

Kent County Council has made an Order to temporaril­y

prohibit parking on part of Hillhouse Road, Dartford, on or after 19th July 2022 for up to 1 day between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours, or until the works have been completed.

Parking on Hillhouse Road, Dartford, will be prohibited between number 7 and number 25, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

INSTONE ROAD - SERVICE ACCESS TO GREEN COURT, DARTFORD. (PROHIBITIO­N OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022

Because of a new developmen­t, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporaril­y prohibit through traffic on part of Instone Road - Service access to Green Court, Dartford, on or after 1st August 2022 for up to 1 year or until the works have been completed. The road will be closed outside Green Court.

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporaril­y prohibit through traffic on part of Olive Road, Dartford, on or after 3rd August 2022 for up to 3 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction of Larch Road. The alternativ­e route is via Larch Road, Willow Road, Sycamore Road, Olive Road and vice versa.

To allow works to upgrade the water supply for a new developmen­t, Kent County Council has made an Order for traffic on part of Forge Lane, Sutton to be restricted to 30mph, between Church Hill and Waterworks Hill. The speed restrictio­n is planned on or after 18th July 2022 for up to 1 year, or until the works have been completed.
