Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Cooks Lane, Sittingbourne, on or after 1st August 2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Hall Close and B2005 Mill Way, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Cooks Lane, Brewery Road, High Street, B2006 King Street and B2005 Mill Way.
GREENWAYS, SITTINGBOURNE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022
To allow telecom works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Greenways, Sittingbourne, on or after 21st August 2022 for up to 1 night between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of number 66, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
A lane closure will be imposed on A2 Canterbury
Road from outside the verge adjacent to number 80 Greenways to the junction with Rectory Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Greenways, St Johns Avenue, Rectory Road and vice
versa.
NINE ASH LANE, BOUGHTON-UNDER-BLEAN (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022
To allow works to be carried out on apparatus, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Nine Ash Lane, Boughton Under Blean, on or after 15th August 2022 for up to 4 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Old Parsonage Farm, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Nine Ash Lane, A2 Boughton Bypass, Brenley Corner, A2 M2 J7 Roundabout, Brenley Lane, South Street and vice versa.
PLUMFORD LANE, OSPRINGE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022
To allow plant transfer works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting
through traffic on part of Plumford Lane, Ospringe, on or after 19th August 2022 for up to 1 day between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Kiln Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Plumford Lane, Brogdale Road, Porters Lane, A251 Ashford Road and vice versa.
SHEERNESS ROAD, LOWER HALSTOW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022
To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Sheerness Road, Lower Halstow, on or after 2nd August 2022 for up to 1 day between the hours of 09:30 and 15:30, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with Church Path and Basser Hill, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via The Street, The Green,
Breach Lane, Boxted Lane, School Lane, Iwade Road, Basser Hill and vice versa.
THE STREET, HARTLIP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022
To allow pole replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Street, Hartlip, on or after 17th August 2022 for up to 1 day between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from outside Swan Cottage to outside Yew Tree Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via The Street, Hollow Lane, Lower Hartlip Road, Mount Lane and vice versa.
TONBRIDGE & MALLING AREA
A229 BLUE BELL HILL, AYLESFORD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022
To allow high speed maintenance works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Blue Bell Hill, Aylesford, on or after 11th August 2022 for up to 1 night between the hours of 19:00 and 05:00, or until the works have been completed.
A229 Blue Bell Hill will be closed in two phases, as detailed below.
Phase 1
A229 Blue Bell Hill will be closed northbound between the junctions with Blue Bell Hill North Off Slip and Maidstone Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for through traffic is via Blue Bell Hill Slip North Off, Lord Lees Roundabout, Bridgewood Roundabout and Maidstone Road.
Phase 2
A229 Blue Bell Hill will be closed southbound closure between the junctions with Maidstone Road and Blue Bell Hill Slip South On, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for through traffic is via
Maidstone Road, Bridgewood Roundabout, Lord Lees
Roundabout and Bluebell Hill Slip South On.
BACK LANE, IGHTHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022
To allow water main connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Back Lane, Ightham, on or after 2nd August 2022 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside the land adjacent to Oaklands, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Back Lane, Ismays Road,
High Cross Road, A227 Tonbridge Road and vice versa.
COMMON ROAD, HADLOW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022
To allow pole and cabling installation works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Common Road, Tonbridge, on or after 1st August 2022 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the general vicinity of Quince Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via A26 Maidstone Road, High

CHURCH LANE, EAST PECKHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER JULY 2022
To allow water main connection works to be carried out,
Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Church Lane, East Peckham, on or after 1st August 2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside the Recreation Grounds, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

SPRING LANE, IGHTHAM (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER AUGUST 2022
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Spring Lane, Ightham on or after 2nd August 2022 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions with
A25 Ightham Bypass and Oldbury Lane, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

or after 15th August 2022 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Apple Tree Cottage.

BRENCHLEY ROAD, BRENCHLEY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Brenchley Road, Brenchley, on or after 21st August 2022 for up to 1 night between 22.00hrs and 05.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Studmore.
The alternative route is via Brenchley Road, B2160 Maidstone Road, A21 Hastings Road/Lamberhurst Quarter/Lamberhurst By-pass, A262 Horsmonden Road, B2162 Lamberhurst Road, The Heath, High Street and vice versa.
CHANTLER’S HILL, PADDOCK WOOD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chantler’s Hill, Paddock Wood, on or after 17th August 2022 for up to 3 days between 08.00hrs and 18.00hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Brick Kiln Farm.

Because of Openreach works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Conghurst Lane, Hawkhurst, on or after 16th August 2022 for up to 3 days between 09.30hrs and 15.30hrs or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Hunters Cottages and Little Conghurst.

Because of drainage works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Foxhole Lane, Matfield, on or after 15th August 2022 for up to 1 day between 09.30hrs and 15.00hrs or until the works have been completed.

make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Quarry Road, Tunbridge Wells, on or after 20th August 2022 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 11.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via: Albion Road, St James Road, Grosvenor Bridge, Upper Grosvenor Road, Meadow Road, Victoria Road, Camden Road and Quarry Road.
