LOWER ROAD, TEMPLE EWELL. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of carriageway resurfacing works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Lower Road, Temple Ewell, on or after 18th August 2022 for up to 2 days, between 07:00 hours and 17:00 hours or until the works have been completed. The road will be closed at the bellmouth entrance to Manor View, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Lower Road, High Street,
London Road, Alkham Road and vice versa.
ORCHARD VIEW, ASH. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
To allow a programme of carriageway concrete and asphalt preservation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on Orchard View, Ash, on or after 30th August 2022 for up to 6 days, between 07:00 hours and 19:00 hours or until the works have been completed. The road will be closed for the entire length.
There will be no alternative route but access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
THE RISE, KINGSDOWN. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of interim to permanent reinstatement works, Kent County Council intends to make an
Order prohibiting through traffic on part of The Rise, Kingsdown, on or after 29th August 2022 for up to 3 days, between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between numbers 11 to 14, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via The Rise, Upper Street, Chalk Hill Road and vice versa.
WOODNESBOROUGH ROAD, SANDWICH. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of works to install a pedestrian island and tactile crossing, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Woodnesborough Road, Sandwich, on or after 15th August 2022 for up to 12 days and on or after 22nd October for up to 9 days, or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between number 155 and 3 Poulders Gardens, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Woodnesborough Road, Sandwich Road, The Street, Fir Tree Hill, Foxborough Hill, Statenborough Lane, Sandwich Road, A256 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road, Dover Road, St Barts
Road and vice versa.
FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA BROOMFIELD ROAD, FOLKESTONE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of new utility connection works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Broomfield Road, Folkestone, on or after 18th August 2022 for up to 13 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed in the vicinity of Jubilee Apartments, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Broomfield Road, B2064 Cheriton High Street, Marler Road, Dunnett Road, Park
Road and vice versa.
CHAPEL STREET, HYTHE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPEND ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of utility repairs and maintenance works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Chapel Street, Hythe, on or after 15th August 2022 for up to 1 day, between 08:00 hours and 17:00 hours or until the works have been completed. The one-way order will be suspended to allow access. The road will be closed between Chapel Mews and Wood House, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
There will be no alternative route but access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
CINQUE PORTS AVENUE, HYTHE. (PROHIBITION OF PARKING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
To allow safe access for coaches into The Green for the Hythe Venetian Fete Event, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit parking on part of Cinque Ports Avenue, Hythe, on or after 17th August 2022 for up to 1 day, between 12:00 hours and 23:59 hours.
Parking will be prohibited between St Leonards Road
and number 7.
HAYTON ROAD, SELLINDGE. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of pole replacement works, Kent County Council has made an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of Hayton Road, Sellindge, on or after 17th August 2022 for up to 3 days, between 08:00 hours and 18:00 hours or until the works have been completed. The road will be closed approximately 300 metres north of Hayton Manor, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Hayton Road, Kennett Lane,
Stone Street, B2068 Stone Street, Blind House Lane and vice versa.
SCHOOL ROAD, SALTWOOD. (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of pole replacement works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on part of School Road, Saltwood, on or after 30th August 2022 for up to 1 day, between 09:30 hours and 15:30 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between Brockhill Road and Tanners Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route is via Brockhill Road, Hillcrest
Road, Castle Road, School Road and vice versa.
VARIOUS ROADS, FOLKESTONE & HYTHE (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2022
Because of carriageway resurfacing works, Kent County Council intends to make an Order prohibiting through traffic on various roads, Folkestone and Hythe.
The closures are planned week nights between 20:00 hours and 05:00 hours, in 3 phases;
Phase 1 - from 30th August 2022 to 10th September 2022.
Phase 2 - from 9th September 2022 to 17th September 2022 and from 30th September 2022 to 1st October 2022.
Phase 3 - from 21st September 2022 to 30th September 2022.
The phased road closures are as follows;
Phase 1 - A259 Rhee Wall, Brenzett and Old Romney will be closed between A259 Rhee Wall roundabout and Swamp Road.
Phase 2 - A259 Lydd Road, Old Romney and New Romney will be closed between Swamp Road and Spitalfield Lane.
Phase 3 - B2075 Romney Road, Lydd will be closed between A259 Lydd Road and B2075 Station Road.
The alternative route for any through traffic during phases 1 and 2 is via A259 Straight Lane/Rye Road/ Guldeford Lane/Folkestone Road, Camber Road, New Lydd Road, Lydd Road, Jurys Gap Road, Tourney Road, Robin Hood Lane/ Harden Road, B2075 Station Road/ Romney Road and vice versa.
The alternative route for any through traffic during phase 3 is via B2075 Romney Road, Harden Road, Dungeness Road, Kerton Road, Coast Drive, The Parade, Coast Drive, Grand Parade, B2071 Littlestone Road/
Station Road and vice versa.

Waiting will be prohibited at all times in any part of the roads mentioned in the second paragraph of this Notice where parking is not allowed.
