Mark Paine hit 105 and Matt Barton 79 not out as Woodchurch won by six wickets at Aldington in Division 3 on Sunday. The visitors clinched victory in a high-scoring contest on 247-4, Paul Rodway making 86 in the hosts’ 245-7. Matt Dance took 4-43 for Dymchurch (106) in their 65-run defeat at home to Holborough Anchorians (171). Shah Rajput came in at No.9 to hit 47 as Saltwood (219-9) beat Addington Village (163) by 56 runs. Challock (155) lost by five wickets at Sheldwich (158-5) in Division 2, the home side’s David Prior claiming 5-6. Neil Picton (55) and Duncan Garrett (50) led the scoring for Great Chart (167-7) in an eight-wicket home defeat by Headcorn (171-2). Richard Turney hit 57 for Smarden (180-9), as they lost by 45 runs to unbeaten Division 1 leaders Street End. Craig Harding hit 73 not out for Stowting (235-8) as they lost by two wickets at Teston In Division 4. Mike Metcalf hit 57 for Benenden as they won by four wickets at Bilsington (162), Paul Webb making 51 for the hosts. Lee Blackman took 5-32 for Wye as they went down by 32 runs at home to Minster (130). The Ashford villagers made only 98. Pluckley (145-8) lost by four wickets at leaders Leeds & Broomfield. Mersham Sports (100) lost by 152 runs at home to Elvington and Tilmanston­e CW (252-4) in Division 5. Charing (164) went down by 80 runs at Tyler Hill (244-8). Ben Moyle (93) and Paul Ticehurst (4-23) were key performers as Great Chart (225-8) won by 54 runs at New Ifield (171) in Division 6. Frittenden are still looking for their first win, dismissed for only 63 on their way to a 10-wicket defeat at Boughton-under-Blean.
