Children learn to ride bikes

-

Children took to cycling like ducklings to water at a Learn to Cycle event held in Ashford on Tuesday.

Thirteen young riders attended the workshop, hosted by Sure Steps at the children’s centre, in Belmost Road, Kennington, in partnership with Active Ashford and Cycle Circle, and used pedal free balance bikes to break them into cycling slowly.

Sure Step Lee Robinson said: “The event was really well attended and successful.

“The CycleCircle sessions help to introduce children to the pleasure of cycling in a fun and safe way. 2They use high quality pedal free balance bikes and provide support to help children develop balance and control at their own pace.”

Children can also bring along their own bikes to the sessions to help the transition from stabilisers to the enjoyment of safe cycling.
