Properties have own postcodes
An Ashford Borough Cuncil spokesman said: “As well as being individually named, the blocks of flats in Kilndown Close actually have different postcodes to the original Kilndown properties in order to distinguish them for residents and the postmen.
“Along with Moat Housing and Royal Mail we have reminded residents to use their full postal address.
The flats are identifiable from their signs, indeed further signage on the highway or paths would be confusing and is therefore not considered to be an effective solution.
“While we can potentially re-address the properties, we are looking into this further to understand if all residents are effected or whether it is a minority.
“It would be unreasonable to force an address change on 27 properties when the issue relates to just three.”
