Top tips to grow you own

The head gardener at Ashford’s Godinton House will be offering advice to the best way to “grow your own” at a special workshop next month.

Viv Hunt and Hadlow College lecturer, Fiona Abrahams, will be giving out tips at the workshop being held at the historic mansion on Saturday, September 27 from 9.30am.

Viv Hunt, who has been at Godinton for more than 14 years, says there’s nothing more satisfying than growing your own produce.

Places are limited so that everyone gets the opportunity to raise their individual interests and the price includes coffee and a homemade lunch.

Other Autumn workshops include Autumn propagation on Saturday, September 13, Autumn garden tasks on Saturday, October 4. And a few places are still available on The Beginner Gardener course, running from September 5 for four Friday mornings.
