Community day out is pretty cool

-

A community fun day raised £597 for two charities.

Residents of Stanhope and The Limes in Ashford got together on Saturday for fairground rides, stalls, sideshows and music.

Activities were provided around the Stanhope Centre by housing, care and support providers Places for People and Moat.

The money raised will be split between Carers Support and the Alzheimer’s Society.

Rachel Shorter, support worker at Places for People, said: “We do this every year to bring the community together.”
